Hello, I'm coming in contacting today in regards to Kingdom of Fiore's #servers post here on the MagicSpells discord. Many users have brought to our attention some EULA non-compliant practices taking place over at Kingdom of Fiore. To be more specific: - Selling ranks that give players multiple gameplay-centric advantages. - Selling the primary form of currency, and doing so in a way that resembles gambling/slots. - Selling skills that are otherwise difficult to obtain or unobtainable. Please keep in mind that having store items such as these make your server susceptible to being blacklisted by Mojang, and isn't exactly seen as respectable by members of the MagicSpells discord. Furthermore, it has come to our attention that the post in #servers was brigaded for reactions, and for an EULA non-compliant reward. We have decided to delete the post in #servers, and are not willing to allow reposting for the time being.

Hello! I'd like to address each point individually so that we can efficiently problem solve this issue and clear the air between us. - Selling ranks that give players multiple gameplay-centric advantages. We do not give anyone any advantages for buying ranks. You may not ever buy your place amongst higher ranks in our server and it will never be allowed. I pride this server on being a non pay-to-win safe space. When buying a 50 dollar rank called "Archmage" on our store you can receive a "donator magic." We planned on handing this out at events but if it is not enough I will open an option in the voteshop so that people can occure points to redeem a "donator magic." (I will expand more on this in the third point.) - Selling the primary form of currency, and doing so in a way that resembles gambling/slots. I will admit we do this but I will remove it off our shop so that we are more compliant with the rules of EULA. I was unaware of this violation and we will correct it immediately. There are ways to obtain this for free. In reference to your last point "Furthermore, it has come to our attention that the post in servers was brigaded for reactions, and for an EULA non-compliant reward." You can obtain this through occuring vote points in our voteshop. In case you are not aware of how this works you can vote to get vote points and in return you may redeem a "Vote Crate Key." - Selling skills that are otherwise difficult to obtain or unobtainable. Even though it was planned to be handed out at events I will also add "Donator Magic" as said before to our vote shop so that there is a more realistic and direct way to obtain these magics. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for bringing this up to us. We hope that someday you allow us to repost. I would greatly appreciate that when we correct our mistakes that you allow us to post our server once again. We have a great community and would love to share it with all of the magicspells plugin.

https://kingdom-of-fiore-store.tebex.io/category/crates If you would like to check our shop I removed the "Jewel Crate Key" Option under the "Crate Keys" tab. This is our official store and we do not reside anywhere else now that Enjin has closed down. (edited)

I have established and implemented the option for a more realistic way to obtain the magics that can be purchased on the vote shop. Here is proof of that. (edited)

I would like to say that the deletion of our post was very unnecessary without talking to us about your concerns over the EULA compliances of our server. It would have given us a better warning to uphold better standards and made us very appreciative of what to do past this. We try our best to follow Mojang’s regulations but there are some things that we don’t look over thoroughly, as in most cases with new server owners. A warning would have been appreciated for we too want to hold ourselves accountable as well as bettering the community we create in the MagicSpells server.

Yo, thanks for the quick response. - Selling ranks that give players multiple gameplay-centric advantages. I'll also use Archmage as an example here since it's the highest rank. Surely, things like the prefix, nick, and particle trail are fine, since they're cosmetic and those have been deemed as fine by Mojang, their rulings, and the community. However, some here have argued that the Jewels, a boosted /sethome, the Jewel Crate Key, and possibly the 1 Magic of your Choice gives unfair advantages for those who buy the rank. It's a common misconception that, because what you can buy isn't insanely op, it's balanced, and it's allowed to be sold. From the perspectives of the people who have brought this up to me, and from what I have seen Mojang rule against, any sort of advantage in an environment like this is EULA non-compliant. - Selling the primary form of currency, and doing so in a way that resembles gambling/slots. Being able to obtain Jewels for free (aka gameplay) is basically the point as to why being able to gamble for it is EULA non-compliant. It's a video game after all, and it's understood that what's basically gold can be obtained by playing the game. Players being able to skip this progression with irl money is what makes it EULA non-compliant. In regards to brigading the post, we were more concerned about how the post was brigaded in general, and for any sort of reward, for the sake of making KoF look better in the eyes of those who view #servers. Furthermore, from what I'm seeing, the reward was a Jewel Crate Key. - Selling skills that are otherwise difficult to obtain or unobtainable. Once again, even though something is made more obtainable for free via gameplay, doesn't mean that it's allowed to be sold. I think I see where the confusion is here. It's not that an item on the store is available for free via events; it's the other way around. An item available for free via events can be bought on the store. In this case, even if you create avenues where non-paying players can receive normally pay-exclusive rewards, given the same circumstances, players who pay will already have the rewards/be ahead. When these events, votes, chances, or giveaways are not happening, paying players can still pay to progress faster over other non-paying players.

The post in #servers was deleted because it was brigaded, and done so for a reward, something that a lot of us here don't appreciate. Of course, the server was also EULA non-compliant at that time. It's best if it's removed for the sake of the MS server.

Sorry I'm going to give you a short response just so we can wrap this up. It doesn't seem like you are open to allowing us to repost our server on the magicspells discord for safety reasons regarding EULA which I understand. Moving onto the points. - Selling ranks that give players multiple gameplay-centric advantages. I understand and these changes could be made immediately to comply with not only your servers integrity but to EULA as a whole. - Selling the primary form of currency, and doing so in a way that resembles gambling/slots. This has been solved and removed so I will not continue on this point anymore. - Selling skills that are otherwise difficult to obtain or unobtainable. This could also be fixed with a new system that is only and completely obtainable through in-game grinding. I would like to do this immediately if there is a possibility that we are reposted onto the magicspells discord. To wrap this message up I am saying that in order to comply to the regulations EULA has put in place and to not be a risk factor in the Magic Spells Discord we would like to change our system in a way that we can share our server with you guys. I would also like to apologize for urging our players to react to the server posted in #servers for a reward in our game and can promise that it will not happen again. Please take note that we are new server owners, we did not wish for any ill-intent ideas to come out of anything we did wrong before. (edited)

Thanks for your understanding. I appreciate the work you're planning on putting in. Please understand that we're very much on top of situations like this here on the MagicSpells discord because of the amount of potential impact they can have on a large audience. This goes even more so if the server's main demographic is made up of younger people. And by the way, to make things a bit more clear, I wasn't the only one involved in this situation. In a way, I'm mostly the messenger. There were others were involved in the decision making here. In the future, I wouldn't mind giving the server a second look-through and chance personally.

Alright, I am looking forward to coming back and showing you our progress in making our server more free-to-play friendly and thank you guys for giving us the time and audience in order to do so. I really thank you for possibly giving us a second chance in the future. Once we are done and feel as if our server is perfectly molded regarding EULA's rules is there a specific place you would like us to go to so that we could be reviewed thoroughly? I really appreciate your professionalism and response times in this ticket and on behalf of my server thank you for giving us the constructive criticism to better our server for our players. We will be taking a step back and reviewing everything because it seems many things have gone over our head regarding all the rules EULA has set in place.

Take your time and make sure all your bases are covered. To be honest, it wouldn't really look good if you returned still having some EULA non-compliant things. When the time comes, feel free to ping me in this discord, or an advanced support+ if I don't respond, I guess. My schedule is pretty wishy-washy so I might not be available initially, but I'll eventually get to it.

Either that or you can open a private ticket in #request-room. It'll require you to fill a form about an MS issue which you can fill with filler data as this is a different kind of matter.

I can promise you that I plan on getting rid of anything that would be in violation of EULA. My priority are my players not my self-interests. Server income is not a priority and I am fine with cutting down on everything if needed. Whenever anyone has the time in the hopefully near future to come onto the server and review everything I would greatly appreciate it!
